Unified Sports - Takes 3rd at State

Out of 150 teams playing through this Special Olympics sponsored program, our OC Red team took 3rd in state this weekend at the 4A Championship at Forest Grove High School. We lost a close game on Friday afternoon to North Umpqua (who wound up beating Parkrose in the final) and beat a gracious and athletically-well matched Sutherlin on Saturday morning to take 3rd place in a really good game!

Our team includes students from our Transition to Independence program as well as CAIS, ACA, and an in-district private school. The current OCHS students who played their hearts out this weekend are Joel Reed, Ronan Harper, Thomas Tuwalski, Mason Olson, and Christian Jackson. Please give them a big high five when you see them!
