Anna Hamersly made Oregon City equestrian history last month, taking first-place in four separate individual events at the Pacific Northwest Invitational Championship at the Deschutes County Expo in Redmond, which was held June 16-18.
The meet, pulling in athletes from across the Pacific Northwest, featured the top five teams and top five individuals from each event at this year’s high school state championship meets for both Oregon and Washington.
Hamersly, a rising senior at Oregon City High School, was named PNWIC champion in trail, in-hand trail, saddleseat and individual flags, taking home the most first-place belts at the meet in school history.
